Tipo Uno
We didn't cut corners, making the demanding buyer purchase all sorts of upgrades. We included the good stuff on the bike while at the factory, when the total cost is lowest. Hence, we have sealed bearings in the hubs, included an elegant treated leather saddle, and given a choice of handlebars. The bikes have double-butted chrome-moly steel frame and details like full metal pedals with toe clips and straps from the factory. It's ready to please and impress right out of the box.
A look at the geometry chart in Specifications will show that the Tipo Uno has a relaxed track geometry, making it suitable for the road and capable of track days. Our retro-panel paint, non-obtrusive decal design and leather accessories recall another time when all the world was bike-mad and the urban speed demons, called "Scorchers", were riders on fixed-gear bikes. But make no mistake, the frame and parts that make up the Tipo Uno are pure twenty-first century.

Frame and fork: Double-butted chrome-moly steel, tig welded. The fork is threadless with straight blades brazed into an investment cast fork crown. The head tube is 1 1/8" diameter. Threading is English. The rear dropouts have integrated axle tension adjustment. The top tube is 28 mm and the downtube is 32 mm in diameter. Rack mounts on fork, rear dropouts, and seat stays.

Road, gravel, cobbles, or your favorite hard packed trail. Classic geometry with a more relaxed set-up than the typical "track" bikes on the market allows for a variety of applications for this well rounded "path racer" style bicycle. With all of these choices there are many ways to make this bicycle suit your needs. With rack mounts, long reach brakes, and room for fenders, the useage for this bike can span from a coffee cruise to the occasional day at the velodrome. How will you design yours?
Customers have the choice of classic road drop or bull-horn style time trial bars. Along with bar choice, you can specify the levers of choice for your individual needs. We now offer traditional aero-drop levers, the now popular cross-top or cyclocross lever, or the time-trial/bar-end choice for appropriate bars.

Wheels: Torelli 36-hole sealed bearing track hubs are laced with stainless 2.0 (14 gauge) spoke onto Alex DA22 double-walled rims. Tires are 700 x 25 Kenda Kwest. Rear hub is flip-flop style to accept a freewheel (not included).
Gearing: 3/32" chain and sprockets. Front crank has a 46-tooth chainring. Rear cog is 17 teeth. This yields roughly a 70" gear. Great for a variety of terrains.
Other components: All-metal pedals with toe clips and leather toe straps. Treated, riveted leather saddle, front and rear dual-pivot long reach brake calipers with your choice of bars and levers.
