Columbus Zonal, heat-treated after welding, with choice of several carbon forks. Columbus Zonal is a 7005 aluminum alloy. Zinc and Manganese are the main alloying ingredients. The top tube is 1.5mm at the butt and drawn down to 1.0 mm in the center of the tube
Tig-welded in Italy, with the welds left natural. Our intent was to produce a bike with characteristics as close as possible to our very popular Spada, yet at a lower price. By painting the frame in Italy, using a Zonal front triangle and leaving the welds natural, we believe we really succeeded. It's an excellent entry-level race frame.
Weight, 56 cm frame: about 3 pounds, 6 ozs.
Paint:All Cortona frames are painted in Italy. At the present time we stock it in the three colors shown above; Yellow, Blue and Italian Tricolor decor.
The Spada is available in even sizes from 48 to 62 cm, measured center to center.
Suggested retail frame only: $598.00 single color; $665.00 tricolor.
